Hi, I’m Katrina! 🫶🏼

I’m a mom of three little ones and the owner, creator, and baker behind House of the Rising Buns.

I’ve had a love for baking and cooking for as long as I can remember. There’s just something special about making something from scratch and serving the people you love something delicious that came straight from your heart. In fact, the very first thing I learned to bake was my mom’s banana bread when I was 12 years old—and all these years later, that same banana bread has become one of our bakery stand staples and best sellers.

As a bit of a health nut with a serious sweet tooth, I’m passionate about finding that sweet spot between food that tastes amazing and food you can feel good about eating. I care about using quality, real-food ingredients, keeping unnecessary preservatives and additives to a minimum, and creating wholesome baked goods without sacrificing the indulgence that makes baking so special.

Everything at House of the Rising Buns is made in small batches, from my home kitchen, with the same care I’d put into baking for my own family.
