Eschmann Bread Basket is a family-inspired, home-based cottage bakery located in Maeystown, Illinois, specializing in handcrafted artisan breads and authentic German baked goods. Founded on generations of family recipes and a passion for traditional baking, every item is made from scratch using quality ingredients and time-honored techniques. The bakery operates an in-home bakery and roadside stand while also participating in pop-up events, vendor markets, and community festivals throughout Southern Illinois. Our signature offerings include fresh-baked sourdough, rye, pumpernickel, cracked wheat, white, cinnamon raisin, rosemary potato, and cranberry walnut breads, along with specialty flavored sourdough varieties. We also feature a variety of German-inspired sweets and pastries, including stollens, coffee cakes, strudels, turnovers, cinnamon rolls, scones, cookies, and seasonal specialties.
