Welcome to Orrekim Homemade trEATs. Get to know a little about me. 🌈 Orrekim means “rainbow” in Palauan and is inspired by my upbringing in the small but beautiful islands of Micronesia. I always looked forward to seeing rainbows after the tropical showers but fell in love with the meaning behind them as a reminder of God’s promise. In island culture, food is an important element that brings everyone together. You can probably relate if you come from a large family too. A gathering is not complete without it. Now that I’m a mom of littles and away from my family, food is what brings a sense of home back by recreating similar dishes and making new memories with my own growing family.
