About Steel Town Bagels
Steel Town Bagels is a small, pop-up bagel bakery offering hand rolled, New York style bagels to our local communities. Bagels are made fresh on Saturday mornings between 2:00-5:00 AM. Founded out of boredom, passion, and necessity, the concept was derived during the COVID-19 pandemic, stemming from two passions that I have- my hometown of Weirton, WV, and Pittsburgh sports teams. While our product will not be served in a brick-and-mortar storefront business, Steel Town Bagels will be available during many of the dates offered at the Indiana Farmers Market. Please stop by on Saturday mornings to say hello, chat, and grab some bagels with our homemade schmears!

If you have not tried the ‘schmears’ .. do so! Excellent by themselves on a bagel but will also raise your sandwich making to gourmet standards. I use the ‘veggie schmear’ on savory bagels for the family when making smoked turkey sandwiches. (Also added lettuce, a little sweet onion, tomato slices, and radish sprouts.) The ‘schmear’ took it to a new level! The strawberry ‘schmear’ on a pretzel bagel..remember the strawberry jello/ pretzel salad everyone loved? Yep.. this is it! The apple cinnamon bagel is too good. Be sure to buy more than one.. even if you live alone!
