Sourdough bread doesn’t have preservatives which means it doesn’t last as long on the counter as store bought bread. If keeping it on the counter Sourdough needs to be eaten withing 3-4 days. If you wont eat it all by then FREEZE IT! Start by slicing a cooled loaf of sourdough bread. Cut strips of parchment paper and place between each slice. Place the loaf in a freezer-safe bag and freeze. Then when you want a slice, pull it out and microwave for about 20-30 seconds to defrost it and then into the toaster or air fryer to crunch it back up. You can’t even tell it was frozen!
