A sourdough starter is a living, fermented culture of flour and water that traps wild yeasts and beneficial bacteria. It acts as a natural leavening agent to make bread rise, replacing commercial store-bought yeast.
Sourdough takes a long time to make because it relies on slow, natural fermentation from wild yeast and bacteria instead of fast-acting commercial yeast. After creating the dough, it has to go through 3-4 rounds of stretch and folds. Then after resting for fermentation, it is put in the fridge overnight to cold proof!
I currently only offer pick up and not delivery because I am a solo operation! During my pickup windows, I tend to still be baking some products, cleaning up after baking or packaging products while also waiting for people to pickup. It is more time convenient for me to only offer pick up at this time.
I am located in Morrisville, PA. Exact location is disclosed after you submit your order. If you have trouble finding me, you can always text me for help!
