The Crafty Cabin

A cottage bakery is a home-based business where baked goods are produced in a residential kitchen and sold directly to consumers. These items like bread, pastries, and cookies are sold at farmers' markets, roadside stands, or via direct pickup/delivery, often operating under specific local "cottage food" regulations that allow for exemptions from commercial kitchen licensure. I have taken food safety courses and have made sure to follow strict rules of cleanliness and sanitation in my kitchen.

I have been baking for over 25 years. I won't count the years when I was baking in my easy-bake oven. I'll only count the years when I used a real oven. My first baking endeavor was Betty Crocker chocolate chip cookies, those are still one of my favorite items to bake. Another one of my specialties is zucchini bread, I learned to bake this from my aunt Janyce, she’s still one of my favorite people even though her memory is fading, her recipe will carry on for generations. I grow my own zucchini, and make my own vanilla, and my chickens donate eggs. It feels great to use items where I know their origin.
