Meet the Baker Behind J’Sweets 💗

A little love, a little sugar, and a whole lot of heart.

My name is Jamila Graham and I’m the heart behind the brand. I’m a 26-year-old, born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, with a lifelong love for baking and creating sweet memories.

My baking journey started when I was just a little girl with an Easy-Bake Oven and a big imagination. What began as childhood fun quickly grew into something much bigger. At just 16 years old, in 2016, I took a leap of faith and started J’Sweets, never imagining how much this little dream would grow to mean to me.

My passion for baking followed me through high school, where I studied culinary arts, and eventually led me to Johnson & Wales University, where I graduated in 2020 with a degree in Pastry Arts. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various bakeries, learn from different experiences, and continue perfecting my craft. Every step has helped shape me into the baker I am today, but no matter where my journey has taken me, my heart has always belonged to J’Sweets.

To me, baking is so much more than flour, sugar, butter, and eggs. I truly believe baked goods are good for the soul. There’s something special about the way a sweet treat can brighten your day, bring people together, or offer a little comfort when you need it most.

And cakes? Cakes are more than dessert. They’re the centerpiece of celebrations, the finishing touch to some of life’s biggest milestones, and part of the memories we carry with us long after the candles are blown out. Whether it’s a wedding, a birthday, a baby shower, or simply a treat to satisfy your sweet tooth, I take so much pride in knowing that something I created gets to be part of your special moment.

J’Sweets is built on love, passion, and pride in every single detail. Everything is homemade and handcrafted, using recipes I’ve spent years developing, practicing, and perfecting. I put my heart into what I do because I want every customer to experience more than just a beautiful dessert. I want you to taste the care, the dedication, and the love behind it.

This business is a piece of me. It represents years of hard work, growth, faith, and a dream I started pursuing as a teenager. Every order means something to me, and I never take it for granted that you trust me to be part of your celebrations and special moments.
