About GrannyBear Bakes

🐻 Introducing GrannyBear Bakes! 🍞 Every business has an origin story, here's mine: A few years ago, I moved to PA and quickly discovered that finding really good sourdough bread was harder than it should be. So I decided to make my own. When I moved back to CA, my sourdough journey just kept growing. I started experimenting with inclusions, then sourdough cookies, bagels, scones, pizza crust, tortillas, if I could use my starter in it, I was making it. I was baking so much that my family couldn't keep up, so I started sharing with friends and coworkers. The response was overwhelming, and I heard the same thing over and over: "You should be selling this." The name — my bonus daughter has always called me MamaBear. When she welcomed her first baby and I became a grandmother, it only felt right that MamaBear would become GrannyBear. And what do grannies do best? They bake. 🧡 GrannyBear Bakes is a micro-bakery specializing in sourdough baked goods, made with love in small batches.
