Create a coupon or discount code

1. Open Coupons → New Coupon and enter the Coupon Code and description.
2. Choose Percentage with a Discount Percentage, or Fixed Amount with a Discount Amount. For a percentage discount, optionally cap it with Max Discount Amount.
3. Set an optional Minimum Order Amount and any product restrictions.
4. Under Date & Time, choose start/end dates and times. Times use your business time zone. An empty start date activates on save; a selected end date defaults to 11:59 PM unless changed.
5. Under Usage Limits, choose Applies To: quotes/order requests, orders, or both. Set optional Total Usage Limit and Per Customer Limit.
6. Save, then test the code with eligible products and an eligible subtotal on your storefront.

If a code is rejected, check its spelling, date window, Applies To setting, product restrictions, minimum amount and usage limits. A valid code can still be ineligible for a particular cart. Use separate codes when you need to distinguish different promotions.
