Loyalty points

Reward customers with points they can redeem.

  1. Go to Loyalty and turn on loyalty points.
  2. Set Points earned per $1 spent and Reward percentage (how much value customers get back).
  3. Set Minimum balance to redeem. Optionally limit redemption by Minimum order subtotal, Maximum percentage of order or Maximum reward value per order.
  4. Check the Program summary and save.

Customers earn points when the order is fully paid and can redeem them at checkout once they reach the minimum. The earning basis is the merchandise subtotal, excluding gift-card products, after coupon and loyalty redemption discounts; tax, fulfillment fees and tips do not earn points. An unpaid or pending payment schedule can prevent the award. Gift-card products never earn points, and paying with a gift card does not reduce what the other merchandise earns. Gift-card balance and loyalty rewards cannot be used to buy gift cards. Loyalty rewards can also be applied in Sell In Person for a selected customer.

Use the settings page's preview to check the reward value for a sample order. Points per dollar controls the displayed points scale, while Reward percentage controls the value customers receive back. Raising the points scale alone is not the same as raising the reward percentage.

If redemption is unavailable, check the customer's balance and your minimum-points, minimum-subtotal, maximum-percentage and maximum-value rules. Select the correct customer before applying loyalty in Sell In Person.

Adjust a customer's balance

Open the customer under Customers and select Adjust Points. In Adjust Loyalty Points, choose Add points or Deduct points, enter Points and review New balance. An optional note is visible in the customer's ledger. Select Save, then check the balance and history.

An adjustment changes the points ledger. It does not record a cash payment or issue a refund. For a paid-order edit or cancellation, inspect the loyalty resolution shown on that order before applying a separate customer adjustment so the correction is not counted twice.
