Connect your own domain

Show your store at a domain you own, like www.yourbusiness.com.

  1. Go to Account → Storefront domain and select Connect storefront domain.
  2. Enter a subdomain such as www.yourbusiness.com in Your domain and select Save.
  3. At your domain provider (GoDaddy, Namecheap and so on), add the CNAME record shown, using the exact Host / Name and Points to / Value.
  4. Bakebug checks automatically. You can also select Verify DNS. When the status shows Live, you're done. DNS changes can take a while to update.

A bare domain (yourbusiness.com without "www") can't be connected directly. Forward it to your www address at your domain provider; the page explains how. Only one domain can be connected at a time. Use Disconnect domain to remove it.

Keep storefront-domain setup separate from Email sending domain: website routing and customer email sending use different DNS records and verification states. If the domain is not Live, compare the record name/value at your provider with Bakebug's displayed instructions and use Verify DNS again after the provider has applied the change.
