Using Bakebug With Your Existing Website

Updated October 8, 2025

Already have a website or domain?
You can easily connect it to your Bakebug shop — no coding required.

Option 1: Domain Forwarding (Redirect Your Domain)

Domain forwarding automatically sends visitors from your website to your Bakebug shop.
For example:
www.amiasbakes.com → https://bakebug.com/b/amias-bakes

🛠️ How to Set It Up

Most providers (GoDaddy, Google Domains, Squarespace, Namecheap, etc.) let you set this up in minutes.

Example (GoDaddy):

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy Dashboard.
  2. Select your domain → Manage DNS.
  3. Scroll to the Forwarding section.
  4. Under Domain, click Add.
  5. Enter your Bakebug URL (e.g. https://bakebug.com/b/amias-bakes).
  6. Click Save.

💡 Always use https:// for secure redirection.

Option 2: Add a Shop Link to Your Website

Keep your current site active and simply add a Shop Now or Order Online button that links to your Bakebug shop.

Example:
Visitors go to www.amiasbakes.com, click Shop Now and are redirected to
https://bakebug.com/b/amias-bakes/shop

🧁 Recommended Approach

Start with Option 2 if you already have a website,
then move to Option 1 later if you want Bakebug to be your main storefront.

In just a few minutes, you can connect your Bakebug shop to your site or domain — no plugins or code needed!
