Organize customers into groups for blasts

Create saved audiences, add or remove members, and use them in email or SMS campaigns.

Open Customers → Blasts → Customer Groups. A group is a saved list of customer records for choosing a campaign audience. It is not a separate customer database or a grant of marketing consent.

Create and maintain a group

  1. Select New group (or the create control shown in an empty list) and enter Group Name.
  2. Select the group to manage its members. Search for an existing customer by name, email or phone; enter at least two characters to search.
  3. Select a search result to add that customer. Check the member list and count after the save completes.
  4. Use Remove from group on a member who should no longer belong. This changes membership, not the customer's order history.
  5. Use the group's rename or delete control as needed and read the deletion confirmation. Group edits are saved through their respective actions; there is no campaign to send until you compose one.

Use the group in a campaign

In Email Blasts or SMS Blasts, choose the group in the audience controls and check the recipient estimate. Membership alone does not ensure delivery: the channel still requires usable contact details, the relevant opt-in and the store's sending prerequisites. Someone in both a group and another selected audience should not be treated as a reason to send them separate duplicate campaigns.

Keep groups useful and understandable, for example “Saturday market customers” or “Wedding inquiries.” A member's email or SMS opt-out remains a sending constraint. Review the final audience, content, timing and cost before confirming a blast; creating a group does not notify its members.
