Offer back-in-stock alerts
Enable one-time alerts for supported sold-out products and understand their limits.
Open Messaging → Reminders → Back-in-stock alerts. If the section says Coming soon, it is unavailable in this environment; editing its template does not enable the feature.
Enable a channel
Back-in-stock alerts currently use email. Add a Business Mailing Address in Account, then turn on the section's email switch. Automated back-in-stock texts are not currently available. Enabling store SMS or adding wallet funds does not enable them.
When offered on a supported sold-out product, the customer asks to be notified and provides the required details/permission. That request produces one notification when the product becomes orderable again. It is not an ongoing announcement to the full customer list.
Supported products
Alerts apply at the product level to regular standard products or bundles with meaningful tracked stock, including relevant option, pool or component limits. They do not promise a specific flavour or variation will be restocked. Daily inventory and daily pools are excluded because availability changes by fulfillment date. Presale-only availability, digital products, donated products, add-on-only products, drafts and archived products are not supported restock cases.
Increasing main stock may not make the product orderable if a required option, pool or component is still exhausted. The store must also be able to accept orders. Fix the limiting condition and save; do not repeatedly toggle the reminder switch as a restock action.
Use Preview email for sample content. Customize the Back-in-Stock Alert template in Email Templates. Customer permission and the merchant email switch are still required; a template preview does not send an alert.
