Share a limit across products with Order Pools

One capacity limit shared by several products.

Use an Order Pool when several regular storefront products share one production limit—for example, 24 cakes across all flavours.

  1. Open Order Pools, create a pool, and give it a Name and optional description.
  2. Enter Capacity, or leave it empty for unlimited capacity. A capacity of 0 provides no available capacity.
  3. Choose when Capacity resets: Every day for a separate capacity on each fulfillment date, Every week for one capacity per week of fulfillment dates (pick the day the week starts on), or Never for one accumulated limit. A weekly pool suits a shop that keeps everything available and can only produce so much per week.
  4. Assign products with Manage Assigned Products, or use Order Pool → Configure Order Pool in a product editor and save.

A product can belong to one pool. Bundles and digital products cannot be assigned directly; a bundle can still be constrained by pools on its components. Individual product and variation stock limits continue to apply alongside the pool.

Inspect the pool's used inventory before increasing capacity. Daily and weekly pools have counts by date (weekly pools also show each week's total); other pools have an accumulated used count. Use the adjustment controls only to correct that count, rather than changing capacity to disguise an incorrect count.

For recurring closed days use Calendar → Weekly Schedule and select the pool. For a holiday use Calendar → Block Time Off → Specific order pools. Pool blocks affect only products assigned to those pools. Reopening the entire store does not remove a pool's own restrictions.

Presale Inventory Pools are configured within each presale and do not inherit these Order Pool settings.
