Block a date or take time off

Stop customers ordering for days or hours you're unavailable.

Use Calendar, rather than Business, to close fulfillment dates or hours. A block changes what customers can choose; it does not cancel or reschedule existing orders.

  1. Select Block Time Off (Block on a phone).
  2. Set Start date and End date. Use the same date for one day; a range includes both endpoints.
  3. Choose All day or Specific hours, then enter From and Until for timed blocks.
  4. Choose Applies to:
    • Entire store for an all-day store closure, or All fulfillment methods for timed time off.
    • Specific fulfillment methods to close selected pickup/delivery/shipping options.
    • Specific order pools for an all-day block affecting only products in those pools. Pool blocking is not offered for specific hours.
  5. Add a Reason if useful. It is only visible to you. Select Block.

Specific hours removes matching checkout times. Customers who only choose a date can still use that date unless the time off covers all of that method's operating hours. To stop every order for that date, use All day.

Review existing orders for the affected dates separately and arrange any changes with those customers. For a recurring day off, use Weekly Schedule instead of adding individual date blocks.

To undo a closure, use the block's Reopen or Remove time off action, or Block Time Off → Reopen. Choose the same scope as the original block. See reopening dates and exceptions if the date remains unavailable.
