Presale quantities and limits
Cap how much you sell in a presale.
Presale inventory is configured inside the presale, separately from regular product stock and dashboard Order Pools.
- Open the presale and its Products list. Configure the selected products' presale stock caps and quantity limits. Check variation-option limits and, for bundles, component and component-option limits too.
- Use Inventory Pools to share a limit across presale products/components. Give the pool a Name and Total Capacity, then assign the relevant items. These pools accumulate usage across the presale; they do not reset daily.
- In each Fulfillment Window, optionally set Max Orders to limit the number of orders using that window.
- Save and check availability on the presale page.
These are different limits. A pool's Total Capacity is a shared unit limit; Max Orders belongs to an individual fulfillment window. There is no single presale-wide pair of Max Orders and Total Capacity settings.
For example, a shared pool of 100 cookies limits cookie units across its assigned products. A window with Max Orders 20 caps customer orders for that window, even if fewer than 100 cookies have sold.
A missing presale stock cap means unlimited at that level, not zero and not inherited regular product stock. Another product, option, component or pool limit may still constrain availability. Live checkout reservations can temporarily reduce remaining stock; confirmed sold-out inventory is different from a temporary hold.
Use the available inventory adjustments to correct used counts. Production Tracking by Window helps you prepare the orders for each window and print their Product Labels.
