Configure packs and bundle components
Set pack unit multipliers and prices, or sell a bundle composed of other products.
Edit the product and choose the structure that matches what you sell. A pack option sells a number of units of this product. A bundle combines component products.
Pack options
- Add or edit a pack and enter Pack Name, for example “Box of six.”
- Set Units per Pack to the number of base units consumed by one pack. Six cookies in a pack consumes six base units, not one.
- By default the pack price follows the base price times its unit multiplier. Enable Set a custom price for this pack to enter a pack price instead. The custom-cost switch works similarly when recording costs.
- Save the pack, then Save the product. Test ordering more than one pack so both the charged total and consumed units match your intent.
A descriptive pack name does not set its multiplier. A “dozen” named pack with a multiplier of one is still configured to consume one base unit.
Bundles
For a bundle product, choose the component products and each component's quantity in the bundle editor. Its availability can be constrained by those components and their stock or pools. Replenish the limiting component rather than looking for a separate product-level Sold Out switch.
Review the bundle price independently of its components' selling prices, and save the product after changing its composition. Changes to a product configuration do not rewrite already-saved order items.
Product labels can print one label for the outer bundle, labels for the items inside, or both, using the bundle's Product Label settings. Choose the mode that matches the packaging and check each component's label information before printing.
