Turn on SMS order updates

1. Go to SMS and turn it on. You'll need to accept the consent statement.
2. Add SMS credits from Billing.
3. Under SMS Notification Types, choose which messages to send.
4. Optionally set Monthly Spending Limits (a soft limit pauses promotional SMS; a hard limit pauses all SMS) and a Low Balance Email Alert.

Messages come from Bakebug's verified number and include your store name. Customers opt in at checkout. US and Canada only (not available in the UK, Ireland or Australia).

To get texts about your own new orders, turn on Enable Owner SMS Notifications in Business → Store Configuration.

If a text is not sent, check the relevant notification type, customer consent/contact details, wallet balance and spending limits. Owner SMS notifications use your configured owner phone number; they are separate from sending updates to the customer.

For marketing campaigns, open Customers → Blasts → SMS Blasts. Enabling order updates does not send a campaign or subscribe existing customers to marketing.
